Otis and Black Cloud in Jail

Otis and Black Cloud will be boarded for the next two weeks. Otis didn't want to go and pitched a fit so we had to winch him onto the trailer.

If anyone wants a miniature donkey let me know. If you can provide a good home, or even a bad one, he's yours.

Another Video Test

This exciting scene was taken with my little Canon PowerShot. I want to compare it to video from my iPod. The iPod's advantage is that I can post video straight to the blog (and YouTube) using my tethered cell phone connection.

If I use the Canon, I'll have to wait till I get back to the hotel and upload.

I may use both. I may use one or the other. I may forget the whole thing.

Cold Hard Facts

T told me she doesn't like the idea of me blogging our activities for the next two weeks. Our private lives, she said, should be private.

She has a point. Without details people are free to imagine that we are adventurous, exciting, interesting.

If I tell the truth -- for example, that today we went to the drugstore, filled the car with gas and finished weed-whacking -- people could conclude that our lives lack a certain zest.

So I will exaggerate.

Noise To Signal Ratio

Ok, I think I've figured out how to post a blog entry to the
Carroll Ranch blog using BlogPress, and simultaneously cross-post a link to Twitter (@bnpinc) and Facebook.

This means a tsunami of trivial travelogues is about to hit my unsuspecting (and for the most part innocent) family and friends.
