Landed at the airport, which is usually the best place. Rental car is too big -- the fuel efficient ones are all gone.

The GPS brought us to the Hotel in Emeryville but it is finicky, mainly due to the tethered connection to my cell phone.

But we made it, and no earthquakes yet.

I couldn't get anything posted for a while; thought something was wrong with my electronics. I tried combinations of platforms and connections and finally realized that Blogger was down. It wasn't me after all!
