I hate landscaping work

Today was a Ranch cleanup and landscaping day. I mowed, weed-whacked, cleared brush, cleaned the garage (somewhat) and grilled.

T did even more work than I did. She baked in the morning, then mowed, weed-whacked and worked her garden. She is more motivated since she actually cares what our neighbors and drive-by people think about the property.

She made most of the dinner and cleaned up, too. I'm a lucky guy.

Now the "lucky guy" is sitting by the BBQ Patio with a fire going. I have a Wi-Fi connection in the garage so I can surf the Web and check e-mail. And write pithy blog entries.

My iPod is connected to the Aux-in port on the garage stereo. A shuffled mix of classical music, cowboy songs and Frank Zappa is playing.

My BB gun is cocked, loaded and ready.

The beer is cold and the fire is hot. T will join me when she's done mucking the stalls. For now, I'm blissfully self-absorbed.

Leave me alone.
